ACRIA Unframed 2018
Overview
Established in 1991 by artist Ross Bleckner, Unframed stands as one of the contemporary art world’s most significant benefit exhibitions, having raised millions to support the fight against AIDS. What originated as a modest sale of 100 drawings hung in Bleckner’s personal studio expanded into a major annual cultural platform. Hosted at Lisson Gallery in New York and organized in partnership with Alex Logsdail, the 2018 edition brought together a stellar roster of internationally renowned contemporary artists, blue-chip galleries, and collectors to benefit the ACRIA Artists Ending AIDS Fund at GMHC.
Project Context & Role
Organized the multi-week benefit exhibition and sale at Lisson Gallery, coordinating work from nearly 40 premier artists across diverse mediums. The initiative bridged high-profile art market participation and critical public health advocacy, directly funding community-based research, testing, mental health services, and youth education programs that serve over 13,000 New Yorkers annually.
